Bit more than your pocket money, Romeo! Ten-year-old Beckham boy stars in Burberry ad for £22,000 peacock feather coat
Most 10 year olds have little concept of any value over £10, but then Romeo Beckham is not your average 10 year old.
Recently signed up to model for high fashion brand Burberry, Romeo's latest campaign is promoting the flagship piece of Burberry’s spring/summer collection: a trenchcoat made of peacock feathers costing up to £22,000.
The second eldest son of David, 37, and Victoria, 38, looks at ease in front of the camera wearing a turquoise metallic bomber jacket from the latest collection and posing alongside model Edie Campbell
Some eyebrows have been raised
at the idea of a boy as young as Romeo taking part in such a high
profile advertising campaign - and one for such a luxury brand - but the
Beckham boy seems to have taken to his new role with aplomb.
Edie modelled the trench, which has been causing a stir in the fashion industry, at London Fashion week. Also available in a cropped version, the luxury coat has been spotted on the back of U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, among other fashion world luminaries, and has already sold out in every size except the very largest on the Burberry website.
No stranger to designer brands - his mother is one of the fashion world's new darling, after all - this is not Romeo’s first campaign for Burberry. The stylish youngster won new fans across the globe after posing alongside other top models Cara Delevingne, Charlie France and Charlotte Wiggins in earlier ads.
Hand-picked by Burberry's Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, Romeo sports an adorable toothy grin in the pictures and can even be seen showing off his dance moves in the accompanying campaign video.
In the campaign, shot by world famous photographer Mario Testino, the 10-year-old looks mature beyond his years, but still exudes a youthful playfulness.
Christopher Bailey said he 'stole she show' during the photo shoot, despite it being his first professional job.
