Bouncing back: Cancer survivor Brooke Burke covers her neck scar on school run after successful thyroid surgery

She's bravely opened up about her battle with thyroid cancer and recently announced she had successfully beat the disease.
But Brooke Burke-Charvet isn't quite ready to reveal the scar from her surgery earlier this month.
The 41-year-old mother-of-four wrapped her neck in a scarf as she brought her daughter to school in Los Angeles on Thursday, and looked stunning in a navy dress and boots.

The actress certainly had her hands full, but made it look effortless to be a fashionable working mom.

'Making my carpool rounds hoping to pick up happy kids...I never know :)', she tweeted on her way to school.

Decked out for fall, and having completed her holiday shopping, she also revealed her family was in full-on holiday mode.

'Letters from Santa just came. Huge hit with my young ones,' she later wrote.

The Dancing With the Stars host has been optimistic throughout her cancer battle, even as she heals from her thyroidectomy.

Brooke has been updating fans throughout the ordeal.

In a video posted to YouTube last month, she spoke to fans about her diagnosis and revealed she would soon go under the knife after getting bad news from doctors after a biopsy.
She underwent a surgical procedure to remove her thyroid, a butterfly-shaped gland in her neck, and last week shared the news it was a success.

'So I'm hoping that this is the end of the story. Woohoo!!! And thank GOD!'
The fitness guru also revealed her greatest fear had not been realised.

'Thank God it's over. I'm clean, surgery went well & I can talk. Losing My voice was my biggest fear. Thx for all your prayers & light.'
