But Harry Styles made his feelings towards the paparazzi abundantly clear when he wrote a playful message to a seven-year-old fan recently.
The 18-year-old heartthrob was approached for an autograph by a photographer, who explained his daughter Ella was a huge fan of One Direction.
Grabbing a piece of cardboard from his car, the teen idol scribbled down a personal note to the adorable youngster, jokingly asking her to tell her Daddy to stop hounding him.
The message read: 'To Ella please tell your daddy to go away love Harry x'
In spite of the slightly mean nature of the autograph, it would seem the piece of cardboard is now little Ella's most treasured possession.
And in addition to having the playful
message framed, the seven-year-old has even taken it into school to
show her fellow pupils.
As well as being one-fifth of the world's most famous boyband, Harry has been at the centre of an increasing amount of media attention thanks to his high-profile relationships with the likes of Taylor Swift, Caroline Flack and Cara Delevingne.
Over the weekend, Harry attended the NRJ Awards in Cannes, France, alongside his bandmates and taken home the award for Best International Group.
However, the event proved somewhat awkward for Harry - as his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift was also at the ceremony, where she performed her hit track We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
According to reports, Taylor ensured her timing at the awards did not clash at all with Harry's - delaying her big entrance by 25 minutes to avoid running into the floppy-haired singer.
A source told USMagazine.com: 'It was very carefully timed so they didn't do the carpet at the same time.Taylor didn't do any backstage interviews and didn't use a dressing room - she changed at the hotel because she didn't want to see Harry at any point.
'Things were timed to keep them apart and for it to not become a big media circus.'
