He’s a Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter who duets with Taylor Swift and has written songs for One Direction.
But now it’s time for Ed Sheeran to take centre stage as he makes his mark in notoriously hard to crack America.
The talented 21-year-old was seen making a promotional stop at a radio station in New York City on Wednesday.

Z100 Morning show came as it was announced he will performing alongside
music legend Elton John at the Grammy Awards next month.
The prestigious honour will mean the flamed-haired star will be joining the ranks of Lady Gaga and Eminem, who have also performed with Sir Elton.
Speaking about the exciting news to MTV on Wednesday he said: ‘I can't wait to kind of just be involved in the whole thing. Just to be going is an honour, but to be nominated and performing is nuts.’

Elton’s idea explains Ed: ‘He put it together. He rang me up one day
and said, 'How would you feel about performing with me at the Grammys?' I
was like, 'I'll check my schedule,' ‘
It seems the Rocket Man singer is a bit of a mentor to the British star, who is close friends with Harry Styles.
Ed revealed: ‘He's been in touch for the past kind of three years, but has mostly become very prominent when we started to break the States, 'cause he knows the States like the back of his hand.’
He also admitted that they
won’t get much chance to practise before the awards on February 10: ‘I
think we got a rehearsal a day before the Grammys, so it's kind of going
to be last-minute, but it'll work out,
‘The thing is, when I've done it in England, they are my peers, I know them ... but I'm performing in front of people that have never even heard of me, so I've got to really make an impression. It's gonna be fun.’
Ed has been nominated for Song of the Year for The A Team, which has been hugely successful on both sides of the pond.
He will be sharing the stage with Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.
Following his appearance on the radio show Ed is expected to perform at Radio City Music Hall.
