Arriving at the club earlier in the evening she hung out backstage and took in the atmosphere of the venue as the place began to fill up.

Amelia had even given herself a temporary tattoo to mark the occasion, and she was keen to show it off prior to her performance.

The wannabe pop chick had written the name of her single and the date of its release along her right arm.

While backstage Amelia wore a cosmic stellar print dress with a cutaway middle but she changed before taking to the stage.
The teenager wore a white strapless sequined peplum top which she teamed with a pair of very tight black Lycra shorts and studded ankle boots.

Her new commercial sound is a far cry from the rock ballads she often sang on the X Factor, last year.

Speaking to Yahoo.com, she said: 'I'm not a rock singer so I wanted to get away from that because people were looking at me as a rock singer.

'I think everyone was expecting the next Kelly Clarkson or Pink from me and I didn't want to be the next somebody else I wanted to be Amelia Lily.'

She added: 'You bring me Joy' was actually one of the first songs I recorded in the studio in February.

'I really connected with the chorus of the song and thought that this could be something special.'
