Their chemistry was obvious: How Kristen Stewart only had eyes for Rupert Sanders at dinner during press tour

They’ve apologised to their other halves for a brief indiscretion, but pictures have emerged which show the then burgeoning chemistry between Rupert Sanders and Kristen Stewart was evident months ago. 
The pair admitted to a fling after photographs showing them in a series of intimate embraces last week were published yesterday but these images reveal they have obviously shared a strong rapport for some time.

Although they were at a dinner with cast and crew, at Monsieur Vuong restaurant in Berlin in May, Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders only had eyes for each other

Kristen, 22, and Rupert, 41, enjoyed dinner together at Monsieur Vuong restaurant in Berlin, Germany, while on a promotional tour for Snow White and the Huntsman in May.

 

The young actress appears to be hanging onto the director's every word, as he coyly looks down. And while they were joined by cast and crew, it's clear they only had eyes for each other.
Casual in a T-shirt with her hair in a high ponytail, the pretty brunette looked completely engrossed by the married director. 
The brunette beauty’s only make-up seems to be dramatic dark eyeshadow.
Despite being in a four-year-relationship with Robert Pattinson at the time, she appears captivated by married Rupert, who is also casually dressed in a dark T-shirt, as she stares at him. 

While there were other people around, Kristen and married Rupert sat close together as they enjoyed their meal

Both have contented smiles on their faces and one bottle of Tiger beer can be seen on the table in front of them.
Later they are joined by a blonde friend as they chat.
Yesterday, it was reported that last Tuesday, Kristen was caught in the arms of Rupert - with celebrity magazine Us Weekly printing a series of snapshots show the pair embracing and even kissing in a parked car.
Kristen, immediately, expressed her regret and sorrow, saying: 'I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.’
She also publicly acknowledged her relationship with Twilight Saga co-star Pattinson for the first time while begging for his forgiveness.

Kristen tore her attention away from Rupert long enough to chat to someone across the table but he is still turned in his beautiful leading lady's direction

'This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry,' her statement to People added.
Rupert quickly followed suit with his own statement in which he revealed he was ‘utterly distraught’ about cheating on Liberty Ross, his wife and mother of his two children.
He said 'I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. 
'My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world.'

He added to People: 'I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.'
In an unsettling twist, the two couples appear to have been rather well integrated, with Liberty playing Kristen’s mother in the Snow White film - her husband's silver screen feature debut.
Rupert also commented on Pattinson’s presence while shooting the film, joking: 'Yeah, there was occasionally a guy in the shadows in a baseball cap on set.
'Rob and Kristen are both very down-to-earth, very nice people. We all became very close friends.'
