Sheer class ! Eva Longoria manages to be sexy AND demure in yet another show-stopping outfit in Cannes

She might not be there with a movie to promote but Eva Longoria has beaten every leading lady on the Croisette when it comes to old school Hollywood glamour at Cannes this year.
Each outfit she has unveiled has been both spectacular and delicate, it has helped that the 37-year-old former Desperate Housewife has paired the gowns with minimal make-up and fabulous Forties set shiny, set hair.

Tonight the beautiful brunette stuck with that winning formula for a gala dinner hosted by L'Oreal, the make up company she is the face of... and the reason she is in the south of France.
Eva, who as Gabrielle Solis in the hit ABC show that bowed out after eight years on Sunday night rocked a more obvious glamour, slipped into a delightful black dress that revealed much through diaphanous netting while maintaining a demure overall feel.
It suggests that the actress might be trying to separate herself once and for all from her popular alter-ego, now the show is at an end.
She was joined at the event by fellow brand ambassadors Freida Pinto and Jane Fonda.

Eva also teamed up with Fonda and Pinto as the faces of L’Oreal for a photo-shoot yesterday before heading off to another red carpet.

Despite her extensive wardrobe, Eva recently revealed that she thinks of her hair as her secret weapon when it comes to glamour.

She told Gala France: 'You know, I'm Mexican and in our culture, long hair means sexy, like a weapon of mass destruction!'
The beauty is keen to maintain a natural look, and avoids overly-bold hues.
'In general, I'm not crazy about heavy make-up. In my everyday life, I wear almost nothing,' she explained.
'A great dose of moisturising cream and mascara and that's all!' she said.

'For a night out or an event, I like to accentuate my eyes with lovely smoky hues and above all, I never ever opt for a red bold lipstick, I only ever wear a discreet pink.'
The 37-year-old has maintained a strict diet in preparation for her Cannes appearance.
'Right now, I'm on a very strict diet. I have eliminated rice, pasta and bread. I drink a lot of green tea. It's hard but it works, I lost pounds and I'm glad of it!' she revealed.
'And to tone my body, a trainer comes three times a week at home for muscle-building exercises.'
