They're just three girls having a quiet chat': Kristen Stewart, Emma Watson and Jennifer Lawrence forge friendship at TIFF
From a distance, the three young women chatting away in the corner of the private Soho House club in Toronto seem like old friends sharing a late night cocktail.
But zoom in closer and you soon realise the trio are stars of movie franchises that have garnered more than £4billion at the global box-office, and that's probably an under-estimate.
Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson, all 22, are three of the most powerful actresses in Hollywood and if nothing else their friendly repartee dispelled idle rumours that they must be bitter rivals.
The ladies were enjoying a private conversation after their films premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last week.
Jennifer - who is in the middle of shooting the second installment in the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire - was in Toronto for the world premiere of her new movie, a delicious romantic drama called Silver Linings Playbook from Oscar- winning film chief Harvey Weinstein.
Also featuring Robert De Niro, Jackie Weaver and Chris Tucker, Jennifer stars opposite Bradley Cooper and both give Oscar-calibre performances as social misfits who forge an unlikely friendship.
Director David O Russell told MailOnline he was struck by 'how potent' Jennifer is on screen.
'She glows in every scene', he said.
At the premiere held at Roy Thompson Hall, a newly-brunette Jennifer looked stunning in a strapless gown by Dior Couture.
'I call this my cracked dirt dress', she told MailOnline.
The 22-year-old actress was in Toronto for the North American premiere of the screen version of Jack Kerouac's classic novel On the Road, in which she stars opposite Sam Riley and Garrett Hedlund.
'I didn't want to do another film set in a High School because I'd grown out of those, but this is more a coming of age story and I loved the book upon which it's based ', Emma told MailOnline.
Emma plays a student who befriends a shy young man, played by Logan Lerman, and totally nails an American accent.
The British actress was the first to leave the Grey Goose party to get up for more promotional work before heading to New York to resume shooting epic film, Noah, with Russell Crowe and Anthony Hopkins.
