Michael Jackson’s ‘Glee’ Tribute Episode: What A “Scream”
Glee’s
Michael Jackson tribute episode (cleverly titled “Michael”) aired last night, and it featured a mish-mosh of a cappella versions, faithful covers and reenactments of several classic MJ videos. (There were also cellos, eye patches and Finchel duets filling the relatively plot-less episode right to the brim.) It was all a bunch of silliness to capitalize not only on the current IMMORTAL World Tour Cirque Du Soleil show traveling the country (referenced seconds after the episode began!), but Jackson’s continuing popularity. Watch a few of the musical numbers below.
Glee found a way to get Kevin McHale out of that wheelchair by having him and Harry Shum Jr. recreate the “Scream” video in a fantasy sequence. All that’s missing is Harry aggressively grabbing his boobs a la Janet.
