Keep aside the filter after cleaning.

Remove the smear and dust particles present in the lens separately. If your lens has only dust, then blower brush will do the magic but if you see greasy smear, you will need extra care. Use a blower brush to remove any loose dust and dirt particles. Use the blower on both the front element and the rear element. Zoom the lens to narrow or wide focal length, this will give you access to the glass of the lens. Now apply pressure to the handle of the brush and blow away
the dust particles mildly. Blow the edges of the lens for perfect cleaning.
This step is enough if only dust particles covered the lens. If not, continue with the following steps:-
Step 3: Wipe off the moisture with micro-fiber cloth
You need to make remove all the moisture left on the lens by using a microfiber cloth. You can also soft cotton cloth to clean the surface but it might leave some moisture behind. Thus, it is always advisable to use a microfiber cloth to clean the lens surface. Now take the cloth and gently wipe the lens in circular motion. You can regularly clean the front element but do not touch your rear element often since it is delicate.
Step 4: Use only a lens cleaning fluid
The lens of the camera is very important so clean the lens only with the lens cleaning solution and not any other cleaning material. Take a little amount of lens cleaning fluid on a lens cleaning tissue which will absorb the fluid. Now use the tissue and wipe off the lens in small circular motions. This will clear the smear and fingerprints from the lens surface. The tissues are only for one time usage so throw them away once you've completed the cleaning process.
If the lens cleaning tissue is not available then follow the below step.
Step 5: Micro-fiber cloth is an alternate for the tissue
Apply little amount of lens cleaning fluid to one corner of the micro-fiber cloth and wipe the lens gently in circular motions. This will completely remove the grease smears and finger prints if present. You should use a clean cloth to remove the dirt from the lens. So wash your micro-fiber cloths regularly and keep them clean.
Step 6: Last and the most important step
Once you clean with the lens cleaning fluid, leave it for few seconds to dry and place a filter on top of the zeiss lens cleaning. Filters act as a barrier for dust and dirt from entering any further in to the lens. Make sure you fixed the filter properly and leave the camera inside the bag or pouch.
Now your lens is safe from any impurities and ready to go for any kind of photo shoot.
