Revenge is best served cold: Taylor Swift plays it cool during a night out with friends as ex-John Mayer claims he was humiliated by her
She is known for her good girl image and
Dear Diary style songwriting, but while Taylor Swift may look as though
butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, she is clearly not above getting
revenge on an ex.
The country star was at a bar with friends watching the Los Angeles Kings ice hockey team play in the Stanley Cup Final last night and remained tight-liipped regarding claims by John Mayer that she had humiliated him.
Wearing a floral tea dress with a matching blue handbag and low heeled shoes, Taylor looked the picture of ladylike discretion, only her vampy red lipstick betraying any hint of a woman scorned.
While John is notorious for sounding off about his former lovers, it seems that the indiscreet crooner can dish it out but he can't take it.
He famously held an impromptu press conference after his break-up with Jennifer Aniston telling the media; 'I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right,' and branded Jessica Simpson 'sexual napalm'.
The singer, 34, recently complained in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine that he felt 'really humiliated' by ex Taylor Swift's song Dear John, which the country star allegedly wrote about him.
'It made me feel terrible,' Mayer said. ' I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do.'
'Don't you think nineteen's too young to be played by your dark, twisted games, When I loved you so.'
A friend of Taylor's expressed outrage at the interview to Us Weekly: 'I can't believe he is trying to play the victim!' the source said of over-sharing Mayer.
'John was a player and treated her like s***,' another source told Us. 'He looked at her as a conquest.'
On Tuesday night, Taylor, 22, had an awkward run in with former fling John at the celeb hangout Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.
The New York Post's Page Six reported that the Fearless singer arrived at the hotspot and after noticing Mayer dining with friends, opted for a table far away from her ex.
'Taylor very visibly — in front of the entire restaurant — demanded to be moved to the other side,' the spy said. 'The bar’s usually an oasis of calm and privacy for celebrities and power players, but this was drama central.'
The source added: 'After the Rolling Stone interview,Taylor is going to think even less of him now!'
